ACCU Raises Funds For Children's Miracle Network On Miracle Jeans Day
On September 9, America's Christian Credit Union (ACCU) staff participated in the annual Miracle Jeans Day fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. Together, the credit union’s employees raised $850, bringing the total of funds raised for CMN in 2020 to $3,500.
Since 2009, Miracle Jeans Day has encouraged groups and individuals alike to trade their traditional work attire for jeans as part of an initiative to raise funds for kids treated at participating Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their area. Since its beginning, Miracle Jeans Day has raised more than $1.4 million to help fund life-saving medical needs in CMN Hospitals.
“Thank you for your steadfast dedication and support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). ACCU’s gifts made a difference as CHLA has had to swiftly respond to the threat of COVID-19 pandemic to provide uninterrupted care and hope for children and their families. Together, our collective work saves countless young lives,” said Sara Hackett, Children’s Miracle Network Hospital Program Director.
The credit union has been involved in Children's Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising, building stronger communities, and helping children that benefit from these hospitals annually since 1998. Through the years ACCU has organized various CMN fundraisers, including, chili-cook-offs, employee contributions, “Super Bowl Friday” soup and chili sales, craft fairs, and amusement parks ticket sales.
“I’m continually amazed at the generosity of our wonderful staff. This is another record for our annual CMN Miracle Jeans Day fundraising campaign. We appreciate the heroic efforts undertaken on behalf of the kids at hospitals such as Children’s Hospital Los Angeles,” said ACCU President/CEO, Vicki VannBerstein.
