$18,000 In Member-Generated Donations to Strategic Ministry Partners

2020-VISA-GiveBack-PR-1

America’s Christian Credit Union (ACCU), a nationwide, faith-based financial institution has announced its member-generated Visa® Platinum GiveBack donation for the last four calendar quarters. In alignment with its corporate priorities of stronger communities, families, and ministries, ACCU will divide the proceeds of $18,000 among eight (8) key ministry partners:

Each of these strategic partners is transforming the lives of individuals and communities in significant ways. Christian Alliance for Orphans and Care Portal, a ministry of Global Orphan Project, for instance, have made vulnerable children a priority in the pandemic response given the economic shutdown, closed schools, parents being out of work, families struggling to put food on the table, isolation, homelessness and substance abuse.

Another beneficiary, JESUS Film Harvest Partners, is a collaboration between the Church of the Nazarene and the JESUS Film Project. This film, being used as a main strategy for sharing the Gospel, has been translated into over 1,800 languages, viewed by over 3 billion people and continues to make a profound impact around the world.

“There are so many worthy causes to give financial support to during these difficult times. We are in awe that ACCU has selected to give Mile High Pines this very generous and much-needed gift,” said Gabriel Valencia, Executive Director of Mile High Pines Camp, also President of Barton Flats Camp Association, which serves 70,000 youth annually. Valencia, along with camp staff were forced to evacuate and are still displaced due to the recent California fires. “The current impact of Covid, coupled with the [San Bernardino National Forest] El Dorado fire, has made serving youth at camp difficult these past six-and-a-half months. This gift will help us continue to serve some of the most vulnerable during the Covid crisis and use the camp in other creative ways to minister. We are grateful for you, our fellow servants. ACCU is a credit union like no other and we consider you our partners in Kingdom work.”

ACCU’s Visa® Platinum GiveBack program was established in 2012, to designate a portion of the revenues from everyday transactions to mission-aligned causes. To date, the program has allowed ACCU and its members to donate over $400,000 to individuals and organizations that are making an impact for God's Kingdom.

“Through this VISA GiveBack, we all get to experience the joy of making a positive difference across America and around the world,” said ACCU President/CEO Vicki VannBerstein. “We want to extend heartfelt thanks to our ministry partners who inspire us to continue living out our mission, and to our members for making that possible.”
